Key Notices
Prayers for the Holy Spirit and May Prayers: In the days from the Feast of the Ascension until Pentecost, we will have prayers for the Gift of the Holy Spirit and special prayers in honour of Our Blessed Lady for the month of May.
Diocesan Pilgrimage to Rome and Assisi: Led by Bishop Stephen 22nd–29th October 2027 at £1,725 per person. Places are limited to 50 pilgrims on a first-come, first-served basis, secured by payment of a deposit. Itinerary and booking details are on the diocesan website (www.diocesehn.org.uk) or from Father Adrian.
Baptism Preparation Meeting: Sessions continue on 4th June and 2nd July (first Thursday of the month) in the Medway at 6.30 PM.
Corpus Christi: Eucharistic Procession with Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament at Ushaw: Sunday 7th June starting at 3.00 PM in St Cuthbert's Chapel. The procession will go through Ushaw's gardens (weather permitting), returning for Benediction. Teas and coffees available after the service. Please sign the list at the back of church; a coach will leave from Holy Rosary. Those travelling by car should add their name to the list and indicate they are making their own way. Servers should sign the list in the Sacristy.
Music Matters – A Day of Reflection for Musicians: Ushaw College, Saturday 27th June 2026, 10.00 AM to 4.00 PM. A day to reflect on liturgy and music, and to meet fellow musicians from across the Diocese. There is a £7.50 charge, which the parish will cover. Please sign the list at the back of church so numbers are known.
Tea, Coffee and a Chat: Join us on Thursdays in the Medway at 11.00 AM. All are welcome.
Friendship Group: Meets every first Tuesday in the Medway at 6.30 PM. Everyone is welcome.

Whit Sunday: An explanation of why Pentecost is also called Whit Sunday in English-speaking countries, rooted in the early Church practice of baptising catechumens on the eve of Pentecost, who were then vested in white albs symbolising their new birth in grace.
