Your Impact in South Sudan
In South Sudan, the difference between survival and starvation is often just £2.40 – the cost of a single vegetable meal. For the families we support in Rejaf and Lologo, this cost is simply out of reach, leaving countless babies at risk of severe malnutrition.
Mothers Leading Change
Your generosity has turned the tide. By funding our infant feeding programme, you are empowering mothers with the knowledge to fight malnutrition. We are training women to become leaders in their own communities, ensuring that they can provide the balanced nutrition their children need to grow, thrive, and stay off the streets.
A Meal Changes Everything
Lucia’s Story Hunger forced Lucia’s eldest children to drop out of school simply to survive. However, the story is different for her younger children. Thanks to the SVP Feeding Centre, they now receive balanced meals three times a week. This consistent nutrition means they are healthy, growing, and preparing to start school. Crucially, these nutrient-dense meals do more than build bodies; they fuel brain development. By securing their health now, you are ensuring that when these children enter the classroom, they possess the focus and cognitive energy required to actually learn and succeed.
Look What You Have Done
Your support is currently feeding over 700 children. By funding locally sourced, nutrient-rich foods – such as fortified porridge and therapeutic supplements – you are bringing infants back from the brink of starvation. This approach creates a powerful ripple effect: by purchasing supplies within the region, your donations also support local farmers and markets, strengthening the entire community's economic resilience. You are not just filling empty stomachs; you are rewriting the future for families like Lucia’s and laying the foundation for a generation that can rise out of poverty.
One of Your Best Gifts
You have given a gift far more precious than you realise; you have given the gift of life itself. While the SVP offers its deepest thanks, the true gratitude comes from the hearts of those you have saved. To these families, you are not a distant stranger, but a guardian they will never meet, yet will never forget.
Imagine if one of these children could meet you today. There would be no need for language; they would simply embrace you, with tears of relief in their eyes. Your generosity does more than feed their bodies; it tells them they are not forgotten and answers their daily prayers for survival. To them, your love is a lifeline – an infusion of pure hope for a better future in a dark world. Thank you for opening your heart and making their future possible.
What else has the SVP done in Sudan?
Building a Healthier Future
What else do other donations look like in action? It looks like the SVP Healthcare Centre. It looks like the only doctor for miles treating 120 people a day. It looks like new solar panels keeping life-saving vaccines cold in the heat of a remote region.
By supporting this centre, we have proven that we can bring reliable healthcare to the most vulnerable. This success is a blueprint for the future; with the help of donations, we can replicate this model and bring hope to other communities waiting for aid.
This is What Donations Achieve
Donations are doing something extraordinary: they are taking young people at risk of becoming child soldiers and turning them into the architects of their nation’s future.
This is the reality of the SVP vocational training programme. Because of people like you, over 400 students a year are swapping a life of potential crime for careers in nursing, mechanics, and electrical work. You even provide the best graduates with toolboxes and sewing machines, ensuring they can start earning immediately. This is the type of sustainable, life-changing project your help makes possible – empowering a generation to help themselves.
Providing Hope, Building Futures
What else does a donation achieve? It takes a boy sleeping on the streets and gives him a bed, an education, and a family. The "Be in Hope" home is proof of what we can do together.
Because of donations, these boys are not just surviving; they are preparing for the wider world. By funding education and life skills – such as poultry farming and financial management – donations are breaking the cycle of poverty. This project is a model of successful intervention where we can offer hope to children. Look at those boys!
Thank you!
