Congratulations to the Staff and Pupils of St Paul's Primary School: The school recently had its Catholic Schools Inspection, and the report had high praise for it. It described St Paul's as a strong Catholic community where pupils and staff actively celebrate and promote the school's mission, with a positive, welcoming atmosphere in which every child is nurtured and encouraged. The report also recognised the great work of the teachers and support staff, noting their high expectations and their dedication to religious education. We are blessed with dedicated and committed staff and teachers in all our Catholic Schools here in Billingham; our thanks to them all.

Diocesan Property Trustee Vacancy: The Diocese of Hexham and Newcastle is looking to appoint a Trustee with property skills and experience. Chaired by the Bishop, the Board of Trustees provides leadership and sets the overall strategic direction of the organisation. Those with significant property, estates management and acquisitions experience, and a knowledge of charity law relating to land, are encouraged to apply. The role description and application form are on the diocesan website at https://diocesehn.org.uk/vacancy/diocesan-trustee/. The closing date is 26th June 2026.
Walsingham Pilgrimage: The balancing payment is now due and is £213.00 per person. Payments may be made by cash or cheque and given to either Callum Walker or Caroline Kelly; if you wish to pay by bank transfer, please speak to Callum or Caroline first. Cheques should be made payable to St Thomas of Canterbury. It would help greatly if payments could be received no later than Sunday, 21st June, 2026.

A time to reflect on the liturgy and the role of music within it, how we sing the Mass and how we prepare for our service, and a chance to meet other musicians from the Diocese. There is a £7.50 charge for the day, which the parish will pay, so please sign the list at the back of the church so we know how many are going.
Little Joe's Babies & Toddlers Playgroup: The playgroup runs on Fridays from 9.00 - 10.30 AM at St Joseph's Catholic Primary School. Families from our community are welcome. For more information, contact the school office on 01642 560056.
All Our Yesterdays: If you have any wonderful photos, videos, or cherished memories of parish life, we would love you to share them with Fr Adrian. Laurence Boynton has found three new gems: St Michael's old prospectus, the opening of St Michael's, and the case against closing St Michael's School in the 1980s.
Light a Virtual Candle: Visit the Prayer Wall on the parish website, a space to share intentions and pray alongside the rest of the parish. A few people had trouble adding a candle on older smartphones with smaller screens; that has now been fixed, and adding a candle should work fine on those phones.
Ziggy Paczyński - Thank You: The family of Ziggy Paczyński send their heartfelt thanks for the lovely time they had with parishioners celebrating his 100th birthday. Thanks to all those who organised things and made it such a special occasion. Our congratulations to Ziggy, and our thanks to him for the chance to enjoy a lovely party.
