Information on contributions to Parish Funds, Gift Aid, Planned Giving & 400 Club
Monetary contributions to the Parish
There are currently three ways to contribute:
Cash: Placed in the collection box in Church before or after Mass.
Planned Giving Envelopes: Issued before April each year, allowing the parish to claim Gift Aid if the donor is a taxpayer.
Standing Order / Direct Transfer: Bank details are provided for parishioners to instruct their bank on amount and date. This method also supports Gift Aid and eliminates cash handling.
400 Club
A scheme to support the parish financially while offering four winning prizes each month (of £100 or £50) and an extra draw at Christmas.
Cost: Each number costs £2.50 per month or £30 if paid for the full year in January.
Membership: New members are welcome, and current members are reminded to update any changes to their name or address.
Gift Aid
Benefit: Signing a Declaration allows the parish to reclaim 25p for every £1 donated.
Eligibility: You must be a UK taxpayer paying sufficient tax to cover the amount the parish reclaims.
Flexibility: There is no commitment to a fixed weekly amount, and you can leave the scheme at any time.
Confidentiality: Participation and contribution amounts are completely confidential, and it does not increase the likelihood of an HMRC check.
Key Reminders & Contact
Updates: Please advise the parish ASAP if you wish to change your current arrangement or if your name/address has changed.
New Envelopes: Planned giving envelopes will be available from March.
Queries: Please contact Caroline Kelly (07899788760).
Confidentiality: All contributions are gratefully received and treated with the utmost confidentiality.
