Key Notices 

• Holy Week Liturgies: Many thanks to all those who made the Holy Week Liturgies so memorable both in preparation of the churches and in the celebrations themselves. Congratulations to those who were Baptised, Received and Confirmed at the Easter Vigil here in Billingham. Please keep them all in your prayers. Father Adrian would like to thank everyone for their kind Easter cards, gifts and good wishes.

• Altar Servers: There will be an outing to the Bowling Alley on the evening of Friday 8th May. Could you let Father Adrian know if you are able to come.

• Baptism Preparation Meeting: The next opportunity for parents to take part in the baptismal preparation session will be on Thursday 16th April at 06:30 PM in the Medway. The meetings for the following months will be on 7th May and 4th June (i.e. first Thursday of the Month).

• RCIA Group: Date correction. Our next meeting will be on Wednesday 22nd April after the Evening Mass.

• Parish Meeting: Our next meeting to finalise our first parish response to the Bishop’s review will be on Tuesday 21st April at 06:30 PM at Saint Joseph’s Primary School. Do please come if you can. If you wish to obtain the minutes of the last meeting, please contact Fr Adrian or use the link on our website under 'Community News' and then 'Looking at Our Future'.

• St George’s Day (Thursday 23rd April): To celebrate England’s Patron Saint we will have Mass in Holy Rosary at 11:30 AM followed by refreshments in the Medway. Winston Churchill said, ‘The gin and tonic has saved more Englishmen’s lives, and minds, than all the doctors in the Empire.’

• Our Website: Would you like to help maintain our website for others to use? You do need a certain level of computer experience, but training will be provided. If you are interested please contact Father Adrian.

• Divine Mercy: There will be a Holy Hour to mark this Sunday on 12th April at 02:30 PM in St Joseph’s Norton followed by refreshments.

• A Joyful Easter Welcome!: Celebrate the joy of the Resurrection with a beautiful new feature on our parish website! "He is Not Here, But Has Risen" captures the profoundly moving moments from our recent Easter Vigil at St. John's Church led by Father Adrian, where we joyfully welcomed four new members, Sam, Jakob, Robert, and Daniel, into our Catholic family. The page offers a photographic journey through the sacred liturgy, explaining the rich history and symbolism behind the Service of Light, the blessing of the baptismal waters, and the Sacraments of Initiation.

• Tea, Coffee and a Chat: Join us on Thursdays in the Medway at 11:00 AM for tea, coffee, biscuits and a chat. All are welcome.

• Friendship Group: We meet every first Tuesday in the Medway at 06:30 PM. Everyone is welcome so come and join us!

• SVP Food Hub: Fridays, 12:00 noon – 02:00 PM in the Medway. Everyone is welcome.

• SVP Summer Camps (Holy Island): Booking now for School Years 5–7. An all-inclusive residential week (transport, food and activities provided).

• Holy Island Volunteers: Help is needed for the kitchen, caretaking & leaders. Summer/Term time.

• Light a Virtual Candle: Visit the Prayer Wall on our parish website – a dedicated space to share intentions and join our community in prayer.
